I was born in Ciudad Bolivar, Venezuela and moved to Houston when I was 16. I went into medicine because my brother’s schizophrenia had a profound impact on me. I want to teach and empower my patients to take control of their illnesses. As a doctor, I listen to my patients and am an advocate for them. When not at work, I enjoy playing the piano and gardening (although I kill as many plants as I cultivate).
